Raised on the River is the story of Astoria itself. For generations, the Columbia River has shaped our families, our work, and our way of life, from gillnet boats at first light to summer nights gathered along the waterfront. The Astoria Regatta honors that deep maritime heritage and the traditions that connect us, bringing our community together to celebrate with parades, music, boats and community. As we gather beneath the Astoria Column — standing watch for 100 years over the river and the town below — we’re reminded that our history rises from this place, and every Regatta adds a new chapter to the story we’re proud to call home.
